Cody rides Gus and Huey rides Scout on our Caprock Canyon, Texas camping trip on 6/11/10.

Tails swishing in overtime as we ride right through the worst of the horse flies -- after all, they must be trained to tolerate them!

The pictures from this point and down are all taken of Gus completely barefoot. We are going to shoe him (keg shoes) on the front for his trip to Colorado and will have more video soon!

Crossing the bridge past the scary little paddleboat!

With his classy style, it's hard to believe that he's totally barefoot here, isn't it?
"Gus" -- Classy, refined 5-yr-old 15H (we measured and he's exactly 15H) classic champagne Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. Excellent care all of his life, all vaccinations current, negative coggins dated 3/18/10, microchipped through Avid Friendship program, natural barefoot trim and excellent condition! This sweet-natured gelding is a forward moving fellow with a really nice gait, nice canter. While he is solid on the ground with no bad habits, he is sensitive and responds immediately to your requests, very eager to please. If you are looking for a mellow, slow-acting, maybe even lazy type horse, pass Gus by, because he is not any of those things. Advanced beginners have ridden him, but I think he'd be more suitable for intermediate because of his wonderful spirited personality -- you don't have to ask him twice to do anything. Gus understands round pen respect and training, he has been hauled across the country, he stands tied for hours with no issues, you don't even know he's in the barn or the pasture (very quiet). Gus has fabulous World Champion bloodlines (Ebony's Senator, The Super Stock, Triple Threat, Ebony Masterpiece, to name a few) and would make a fun lifetime horse. $5500

Bud sings the theme to "Rawhide" while he picks the longhorn steer out of the herd.

Hard to take a bad picture of this classy Tennessee Walking Horse gelding.

Yippee Ki Yay, he cut him from the herd!

Nothing wrong with babying your horse a little . . . here, Bud is leading Gus over the bridge first, to rest his worried mind about that big bad dangerous paddleboat, and then he rides him uneventfully across.

This horse is a unique color and looks different depending on the light . . . his coat sort of reminds me of velvet, or a mink coat.

Tail up, mane flying, ears forward, striding behind, beautiful neck arched . . . just can't take a bad picture!

Gus at 4-1/2 years of age (his mane is longer now).

Weanling picture of Gus.
