"Indy"

14.3H 11-yr-old Chocolate Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Gelding

Super Fun 4-Beat Gaited Horse

With incredible pushbutton training!

Riley (11 years old) and Cheyenne (14 years old) love riding double, and they love cantering. Indy knows his correct leads and is teaching them how to study leads.

"Indy" -- Gorgeous, stocky built (like Quarter Horse) 14.3H 11-yr-old glossy chocolate Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse with beautiful blonde mane and tail. He has had extensive training and has many buttons and whistles, so I suggest him for advanced beginner and up, because he is too well-tuned for a timid rider. Indy backs on a loose rein, sidepasses, pivots, forehand turns, shoulder-ins, spins like a reining horse, canters on correct leads, has been on many trail rides and camping trips, competed in competitive trail competition, won in the show ring, worked cattle, opens and closes gates, good on obstacles, etc. We use him to pony colts and he rides bareback and double with no problem. Neck reins like a dream -- he's like riding a Quarter Horse that's gaited. Indy has a motor, and is definitely not a deadhead. He is great in the mountains, lots of stamina and pulls hills like a machine. $6500

My camera gave me some trouble so I missed getting a video of Riley's first place win on Indy at the March, 2017 NWHA Gaited Rumble Horse Show in Magnolia, Texas.

Everyone, gallop your horses!

Friesian trainer Stal Okkema, from the Netherlands was visiting one of his biggest fans today, my friend Becky. While he usually trains Friesians to drive, he rode our palomino Tennessee Walking Horse Stallion, Jackpot, while Becky rode our Kentucky Mountain Horse, Indy.

Stal Okkema's champion
apprentice, Reggie Glover is riding our grey sabino gelding, Big Dan, and Cheyenne is riding our palomino gelding Tebow.

Becky swimming Indy in Lake Houston. I am usually right out there swimming, too, but she makes me laugh so hard I can't do anything else. I'm afraid I will miss something and not get it on camera! We can frequently ride like this well into December here on the gulf coast in Texas!
