One of my favorite videos of Leo, on the trails in September, 2011. Click on embedded arrow above to enjoy!

here's the girl who worked Leo to get him ready for the show ring -- remember that this is a horse that we hauled to ocean beach, the lake, the mountains, to Tennessee, Kentucky, Colorado, all over Texas just trail riding, but knowing that he had show potential. We leased Leo right off our trail ride at 7IL in Cat Spring, Texas, where she took him home from there last fall. Each day after she got out of school, Becca worked "Leo" on the trails -- no arena to practice in. Blue ribbons, red ribbons, white ribbons -- a grand entrance to the show world, wouldn't you think? Congratulations, Becca and Caitlin!

Caitlin loves him, too (and I love this picture!)

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS: Trail savvy and excellent show potential as well!

"Leo" -- This gorgeous black and white 3-yr-old 15H spotted black and white Tennessee Walking Horse gelding is a versatile fellow -- our 14-yr-old grandson Cody has been riding him on the trails and he will go anywhere, cross any water obstacle, step carefully over logs, wade into the lake. He will walk along relaxed, or you can squeeze him up and ask for a natural high stepping rack -- as a bonus, he will slip into a nice, easy canter if you ask. He has a much longer stride than most spotted horses which would make him very competitive in the show ring. He is registered TWHBEA and comes from Rock & Roll Star/Paint's Rooster on top, and Pride's Dark Spirit/Triple Threat on bottom.
