We like to haul our colts around with us when we're traveling a short distance here and there, just for the experience of loading, unloading, hauling, and seeing new sites. This makes them have a huge head start when it's time to start under saddle and then hit the trails. Here, Picasso studies the bulletin board, and then checks out the entrance at the vet's office.

"Picasso" -- Beautiful stout, stocky Tennessee Walking Horse stud colt bred in Texas, born in South Carolina because we sold his dam, and now back in Texas because we bought him back! His parents are both smooth, smooth gaited with wonderful rolling athletic carousel canters, nice bone structure, good hard hooves. Excellent bloodlines (our favorite -- see pedigree below), sensible and intelligent. This colt will make a winning competitive trail horse, easily go in the show ring, and certainly is top quality for consideration as a herd sire. Gelded or intact -- he's a winner. $2750

I think Pa just told Junior a joke . . . probably went something like this:
Pa (Alen's Painted Desert): "What did the horse say when it fell?"
Junior (Picasso): "What?"
Pa: "I've fallen and I can't Giddyup!"
