Ruth had a hard night, so after her workout on Rollo, she thought she'd take a nap. Huey snuck up on her and caught these photos.

"Rollo" -- Beautiful dark golden and white spotted registered Tennessee Walking Horse, home bred, raised and trained, always had the best of treatment and care. He is very sweet and loves to be pampered, and gentle for anyone to ride, anytime. You can put him out to pasture for 6 months and let him run free, then bring him up and he will go right back to work like he was just worked yesterday. He has the safe-feeling spirit to be a fun ride yet make a timid rider feel comfortable and safe. Rollo performs a beautiful racking gait and also a sweet slow lope. We have camped with him in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missisippi, and Texas. We use him a lot for ponying youngsters because he's big and stocky enough to just pull them and ignore any foolishness they try. Rollo is trained in his lateral moves, side passing, pivots, forehand turns, backing, ground tying, obstacles, and would be a great competitive ride prospect. He is classy enough for the show ring and certainly experienced on the trails to travel the nation. Horses like him are very hard to find. Rollo shares a pasture with cattle, goats, pigs, donkeys, mules, turkeys and chickens and he lives with dogs constantly in his life. He is accustomed to tractors and 4-wheelers working around him, and he is trained to carry a flag. Rollo is an impressive and eye catching horse in our local Christmas parades at night with battery-operated lights, tinsel, garland and bows. $12,500

And then she woke up and caught him sneaking up on her!

This was part of Hannah's exam this morning, as well. She had to prove to her professor (that would be me!) that she could successfully control Rollo and Frosty under varying trials before I would agree to let her ride a different horse. Good job!

All of these people are customers, turned good friends. They're all riding horses that we've either raised, started under saddle, or trained and sold to them. We ride a lot, camp together a lot, cook and eat together, and lift each other up in prayer when we're struggling. I thank God for wonderful friends like these, great horses, blessed kids, their parents who share them with us, and our glorious country.

We rode 19 miles this day -- 9-1/2 out to a restaurant where we watered all of our horses, tied them up, loosened their cinches and had lunch, then back to base camp another 9-1/2 miles. From left is Victor, riding Lester; Huey riding his mare, Sister Sara; Becky riding big ol' Rollo; Sophie riding Splash; and Katie riding Pistolero.

I am riding Diamond Dak, with Huey to my left on Sister Sarah; Becky to his right on Rollo, and ahead of her is Katie on Splash. How often do you get the chance to ride down the Gulf of Mexico following two carriages harnessed to eight royal purebred Fresians? And Fresian movie stars, at that! They pulled the chariots in the movie "The Hunger Games - Catching Fire".

Hydration along the trail is very important and we like to stop every chance that we can and offer them a drink. Ruth and Rollo, at Pundt Park in Spring, Texas.

"Rollo" -- Spotted Golden Palomino 16H 8-yr-old gentle giant Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, home bred, home grown, extensive ground training, lots of camping and trail riding miles. He is registered TWHBEA and his lineage includes Prides Generator, Ebony Masterpiece and Triple Threat. The whole family should feel comfortable and safe on this big ol' boy! Rollo performs a nice racking gait, backs, pivots, forehand turns, side passes, loads, pastures, stalls, bathes, adores being groomed, rides double, rides bareback . . . nice family kind of horse. His owners, who bred and raised him, have been working out of country and aren't able to spend time with their horses, so they are seeking a good home for him.

I am riding Rollo in Kentucky, in Big South Fork during our two-week camping trip between Kentucky and Tennessee the week of 9/29/14.

Scooter, the Cajun Foxtrotter had a crash course in ponying today. He told us that he was not going to cross those bottomless creeks, and we said that we'd give him a couple of chances before we turned up the heat.

He told us that he'd gamble on balking, and maybe we would give up and let him go home.

He did not recognize us for the human mules that we are, and we said,"Rollo, show this silly boy how it's done."

Rollo is huge, stout, a gentle freight train, and although he wasn't thrilled about this young, reluctant gelding being his caboose, he got the job done, and now Scooter is a graduate of Water Crossing 101.

More good horses for the world to enjoy!

We needed a loaner horse for one of our rider's boyfriends, so Rollo was our choice!

Look what I caught between Cisco's ears! Cheyenne and Kathryn (on Classy and Rollo) practicing for the fun competitions at the local playdays. It's always so much fun watching the girls frolic and such great desensitizing for the horses -- even the ones around them being ridden by other people.

Rollo on our camping trip near Nacogdoches, Texas the week of 10/26/14, riding double with Liz and Cody.

Round pen workout on 7/15/14.

We rode this morning for 16 miles, then came back to camp and changed horses, went back out again and rode another 6 miles on the 2nd set. The last two of those 6 miles were in the dark! I don't think I can tell you how thrilling it is to be riding down a mountain to a hollow, and you start out in the daylight at the top, get down to the bottom and it's dark like night, but you can hear the water rushing over the rocks in the creek and the thump thump of your horse's hooves over the rock. It's cold down there, and then you climb another hill and suddenly you're in evening sunlight again, and the air just got warm again.

This was the Oklahoma horses' first time to get to ride together, and they did great. In the photo to the far left, Cheyenne is riding Rollo in the creek on the way to Wild Cat Den in Big South Fork, Tennessee. In the center photo, Classy carried Cheyenne and Rollo carried me through the Kentucky hills and hollows like champs! In the far right, Cheyenne is riding Rollo with our dogs following closely.

Beautiful day for a gaited play day today!

Cheyenne on Classy; Lillie on Kiss; Riley on Lester; Hailey on Rollo; Savanna on Remington; and Kiley on Leo.

How cool is it that all of the horses in this cute youth class are Cloud 9 Walkers horses?

The horses were worn out by the end of the playday.

That's Miley Cyrus, er, I mean Savanna on Rolex, Lillie on Rollo, and Cheyenne on Classy.

Rollo and Classy were born and raised together in Oklahoma and have been in our training program for a few months now. We like to round out our horses' training by putting several different riders on them under our supervision.

Rollo, before spa day to get ready for the Christmas parade that night.

Christmas colors and glitter, all the better to glow in the night for the Christmas parade!

Kathryn is riding Rollo (far left) in the Christmas parade on 12/1/15, and Rollo is wearing a breast strap of Christmas lights!

Teaching Rollo and Classy to step over the log to make it really easy to mount up. Good job Cheyenne and Ruth!

Ruth, getting some Rollo lovin'!

Desensitizing to carts and flags on 12/1/15.

Cheyenne is 11 years old and is learning how to train horses with us. Here, she is taking a green horse, Rollo, who is on his first trail ride and camping trip away from home, onto a big rock in the middle of this Tennessee creek this afternoon. I'd consider this an advanced maneuver, so both young rider and horse are doing phenomenal!

Kathryn learning to train Rollo to drive on 7/15/14. Rollo is just learning to drive, himself, all under our supervision.
