Black and White Spotted Homozygous Tobiano Tennessee Walking Horse Stud Colt (born August of 2008)

This sensible and sweetheart colt has a beautiful conformation, nice bone structure, sloping shoulder, round hip, long swan neck, two gorgeous blue eyes, and his tail is white with a black streak in it. At 18 months of age, he is about 15H, and we expect him to mature between 15.2H and 15.3H. War Eagle's gait is naturally four-beat and smooth, and his canter is really nice, athletic. We call him our "City Boy", because he comes up from the pasture with the cattle and other horses every morning and stands at the gate, begging to be let in for breakfast. When we turn him out at night, he actually hangs around like he hopes to go to the house with us, and you can walk out to the pasture anywhere he is and lead him back to the barn by his lower jaw, no halter needed. War Eagle is very good natured and apparently has an excellent horse personality, because all the other horses tolerate him even when he's pestering them. We are raising him right, with lots of exposure to dogs, highway traffic, turkeys, chickens, tractors, bulldozers, mean old mares, cattle.

War Eagle's homozygous for the tobiano gene, so he will ALWAYS pass along the tobiano gene to every mare that he breeds. That means that you will always get a foal which expresses the tobiano gene, meaning that 99% of the time it will be spotted, and the 1% that it's not, you will still see the gene through markings such as four long white stockings. We are excited about breeding him to sabino mares, which will produce wildly lit up patterns.

This sharp looking Tennessee Walking Horse stud colt has been trained with natural horsemanship methods, knows how to flex, back, yield front and hindquarters, drive with surcingle and long lines, stand tied for hours, load/unload in a trailer, handle his feet, bathe, clip. When the time comes to start him under saddle, he will be ready to go straight to junior high classes, as he has a solid foundation already.

And then poor Lad gives up and runs away from the little pest, but he can't get rid of the pesky pest no matter how far he runs!

There he goes again, trying to find a new victim.
