Vaccinated VEWT, Flu/Rhino, West Nile on 9/5/19.
Jackpot is teaching Bobby how to sit a gait and learn proper rein pressure. Too bad Bobby has such a slacking coach (me!) who didn't adjust the stirrups for him! In this photo, Bobby was checking to slow Jackpot a bit. We drill our students on checking and releasing. The release is critical! Bobby has a lot of natural talent that is going to help him be a superior rider.
Jackpot as a suckling

First time to be hitched and pull a cart -- 8/14/15.
We hook our horses to the Gator the first time they are hitched to a cart and let them follow the Gator, with the empty cart bouncing around behind them.
Click on above embedded arrow to see Jackpot being ridden for the first time in 3 weeks, and before this, the last time he was ridden was the first time in a month. Long, slow, extensive foundation training produces a lifetime kind of dependability.
