"Sara" -- 15H coming 3-yr-old golden palomino Tennessee Walking Horse mare with great bloodlines, and a really sane mind. As a bonus, she has a nice back end, making her show potential, carries herself with class, and her canter is rolling, carousel, right out of the Tennessee Walking Horse textbook. We raised her and used her to train our apprentices how to start a horse under saddle. She was broke by a 13-yr-old girl, Ruth, and the kids have done 99% of all of the riding that she has had. They have ridden her all over the farm many times, and we have hauled her to the Trinity River to ride the trails there, and in the river. Sara doesn't mind crossing any water obstacle, and we have plenty on the farm to practice on. Sara has a beautiful golden coat with a long, flowing cotton white mane and tail. By the time she's 5 years old, I'm betting that her mane will be down past her shoulder. She has the whole world ahead of her and since she was started so slowly in the round pen and put through our natural horsemanship training program, she will be a forever kind of horse, safe for the whole family to ride. She has never known any kind of neglect or abuse, and the way that we train, they are never allowed any thoughts of bucking, rearing, or other dangerous behavior. She is definitely a horse that we feel comfortable putting novice riders on. $4500
