‎"Smoky Robinson" has to be one of the best family horses I've ever met! Rain didn't keep us from riding today (Dec. 22, 2011), and here, Smoky comes in from the pasture to go to work. We put a saddle on him and young Francisco (a 12-yr-old visitor boy) who has only ridden 3 or 4 times in his young life, took Smoky all over the pasture, past the barn (no barn sour issues!), and through the arena for a couple of hours. 

"Smoky Robinson" -- NICE HORSE! 15H 5-1/2 year old very flashy smoky black roan sabino registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding (TWHBEA), extremely gentle and quiet, and very smooth gaited with nice lope. Smoky has been trail ridden and on camping trips in Tennessee and Texas, has done parades, gets along great with other horses, picket lines overnight, stands tied quietly, just no fuss or trouble with this sweet natured, gentle guy. He's the one you keep around for your family and visitors to ride. As a bonus, his bloodlines are impressive (Motown Magic, Pusher, Sun's Delight D, Go Boy's Sun Dust). $4500

Brenda borrowed Smoky to ride with us so that she could watch her young mare work that she has in training with us ("Poca Buena, the red/white spotted mare on the far side of the picture). She looks totally 'at home' on a horse!

Victor rides Smoky through camp on 12/16/11.

We had 12 horses on this trip, and only 6 pens, so 6 horses spent the night on the overhead picket line and then rotated into the pens the following day. Worked like a charm!
